Class 2 20mm is the most commonly specified base course on Victorian civil projects. A fully crushed, dense-graded rock that compacts tight and develops excellent bearing strength, it sits directly beneath the wearing surface on roads, car parks and industrial hardstands. When a pavement design calls for "Class 2 FCR", this is the material.
It is engineered to a continuous grading, from the nominal 20mm particle down to fines, so that it locks up under compaction and carries traffic load without rutting or pumping. The same product is the basis for cement-treated base (CTCR) when a bound, higher-strength layer is specified.
We supply it plain, wet-mixed at optimum moisture, or cement-treated from 1% to 4%, sourced from VicRoads-accredited quarries and matched to your spec. Every tonne is visible in NXT Control from the weighbridge to your gate, so what is on the docket is what is on the ground.
