Lightweight volcanic drainage, 7mm scoria for ag-drains, planter drainage and anywhere weight matters.
Scoria is vesicular volcanic rock, full of air pockets, roughly half the weight of basalt, and naturally free-draining. The 7mm grading suits fine drainage applications: agricultural drains, planter boxes, green roofs and drainage cells where every kilogram counts.
Sourced from Victorian scoria cones, it’s also a distinctive decorative ground cover. We supply 7mm alongside 14mm and 20mm gradings, by the tonne or truckload.

Maximised payload where site access and mass limits allow it.
Every load GPS-tracked from the weighbridge to your gate, with the tonnes on the docket.
Around half the weight of rock, with a high void ratio for drainage.
As a guide, this material weighs around 0.9 tonnes per cubic metre. Multiply your area by the layer depth to get the volume, then by the density. Tell us the area and depth on the quote form and we will convert it to tonnes and price the delivery for you.
