Certified to move heat, thermal sand for the cables that can’t afford a hot spot.
Underground power cables are rated by how fast the surrounding material carries heat away, and ordinary sand full of air voids insulates instead of conducting. Thermal sand is graded so particles pack densely, achieving the low thermal resistivity electrical authorities demand around HV cables.
We supply standard and HV thermal grades with resistivity certification, to distribution and transmission projects across Victoria. Documentation accompanies every load, attached to its digital docket, where your auditors can always find it.

Figures shown are indicative typical properties and vary by source and batch; details and conformance for your delivery are available on request.
Supplied loose in bulk and delivered by tipper, sized to your access and the day’s program.
Screened and washed to a clean, consistent grade, batch to batch.
Conformance and certificates supplied for specified sands on request.
Every load GPS-tracked from the yard to your gate, with the tonnes on the docket.
Sand is supplied by the tonne. As a guide it weighs around 1.6 tonnes per cubic metre, so multiply your area by the depth for the volume, then by the density. Tell us the job on the quote form and we will work out the tonnes and price the delivery.
50 m² × 0.1 m deep = 5 m³ × ~1.6 t/m³
Tell us the volume, the site and the program. Every load is tracked live through NXT Control, from yard to your gate.
