Overview

About this product

Soil improver is mature, composted organic matter, dug or rotary-hoed into existing ground to rebuild what construction and compaction strip out: structure, microbial life, nutrients and water-holding capacity.

On civil and landscape jobs it’s the difference between planting into dirt and planting into soil. We supply screened compost, mushroom compost and FOGO-derived improvers in bulk, including site-wide amelioration programs measured in hundreds of cubic metres.

Common questions

How do I use a soil improver?
Spread it over the existing soil and dig or rotary-hoe it in to lift organic matter, structure and water-holding before planting. Typical rates are 50mm to 100mm worked into the top of the bed.
Is it the same as mulch?
No. Mulch sits on the surface to hold moisture and suppress weeds; a soil improver is dug in to improve the soil itself.
How is it delivered, and can I track it?
It is supplied loose by the cubic metre and delivered by tipper across Victoria, sized to your site access. Every load is GPS-tracked in NXT Control so you can see it from the yard to your gate.
