The turf-layer’s soil, free-draining sandy loam that levels true and grows grass.
Sandy loam sits in the sweet spot between sand and soil: enough sand to drain and level cleanly, enough loam to hold moisture and nutrients for turf roots. It’s the standard underlay beneath instant turf and the general-purpose soil for levelling and light filling.
Screened for consistency, it spreads and rakes beautifully, crews can lay turf the same day. Bulk supply for sports fields, subdivisions and backyards alike.
